Squirrel Seeds started out as a collection of seed beads in my attempt to stock myself up with a variety of colors to work from. I worked in a brick and mortar bead shop and often wished that I could have as extensive a collection of beads myself to have spread out before me while making a piece. Selling extra seed beads when I purchased wholesale bags started out as a seed of an idea in my head, then grew.

I'm still in the starting stages, and hoping that this seed of an idea will grow into something bigger. My main goal right now is to get as many colors of Toho size 11/o seed beads as I can. After that, I'll get other sizes of Toho, and after that, who knows?

I also sell hand knit items and handmade jewelry in my shop. I used to have a separate shop for knitted items so that my shops would have a definite theme, but I've since decided to focus my efforts and list what I want. That's the beauty of owning your own business.

Squirrel Seeds is run from my home, and I do most of my work at my desk next to a sunny window, or at the dining room table when I need more room to spread out.
